Pliegue privacy policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Pliegue is a Windows desktop app that works with your PDFs and images on your computer. This policy applies to both the Microsoft Store version and the installer version.
Summary
Pliegue does not collect, store on servers or send any personal data. It has no accounts, telemetry, usage analytics, ads or trackers.
Your files
All files are processed only on your computer. Pliegue never uploads them to the internet or shares them with anyone.
Internet use
Pliegue works offline. It only uses the internet when you ask for it in "HTML to PDF": if you enter a web address (URL), or convert an HTML file that links to images or styles on the internet, Pliegue downloads that page and its resources directly from that site to convert it. As with any visit, the site sees a normal request from your connection (for example, your IP address); Pliegue sends it no other data.
The "Código fuente" (source code) button in "Acerca de" (About) opens the project page in your browser, only if you click it.
Data kept on your computer
Pliegue stores your preferences (for example, the theme or the output folder), error logs and a font cache on your computer, in the app's data folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Pliegue or, in the Microsoft Store version, the package folder). They never leave your computer. They are removed when you uninstall the Store version; with the installer version you can delete that folder at any time.
Other programs
In "Word to PDF" and "PowerPoint to PDF", if you have Microsoft Office, Pliegue asks Office to convert the file on your computer. Microsoft Edge, if installed, may be used as a fallback for "HTML to PDF". Those programs follow their own policies.
Microsoft Store
If you installed Pliegue from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft may collect installation and crash data under its own privacy statement, and share only aggregated, anonymous statistics with the developer. Pliegue adds nothing to that data.
Children
Pliegue does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page. Pliegue is free software (AGPL-3.0): you can review its source code. For questions or reports: https://github.com/Blureckzhyto/pliegue/issues.
